5 of 6 people found the following review helpful You Can INVERT Controls on this Game, By = Fun: This review is from: Blades of Time (Video Game) Unlike a prior reviewer stated, you can invert the controls for this game. In your Xbox system settings you can set preferences to the games you play. (invert or non-invert, analog sensitivity etc) As long as you have your preference setting in system to Invert, the game auto detects this and inverts the controls for you. (in full game only, not the demo, unless that has changed, doubt it.)Now my review. This game is a follow up to the game X-Blades, though it is not a sequel in anyway. X-Blades had some really nice ideas, but the general implementation was pretty poor. This game seems to address those issue and what you have is not a perfect, but a pretty fun game overall. The biggest addition is the rewind time power, this is not to like, rewind dying or accidental jump off cliff like some games. It is to be used more for some strategy based fights and some puzzles. To give an example: You come across 6 enemies, 3 grunts who melee and 3 ranged fighters. You start... I just picked up Blades of Time last week and am only about 5-6 hours into the game, but I must say, it has been really fun! The graphics are well done, the story is interesting enough. The gameplay is solid and there are tons of combos and upgrades as well as hidden chests with interesting items contained within. Overall, for the price, you will be hard pressed to be disappointed. Easily worth $40! Oh, and its already been pointed out by other reviewers, but as someone who can only play games with inverted controls, the demo does not support inverted controls, but the full game does (at least if you have your Xbox default setup that way). Blades of Time demo review, By = Fun: This review is from: Blades of Time (Video Game) I played the demo finally after weeks of ignoring the demo. It's a very challenging game when fighting boss mode, the regular enemies are good enough.Bosses require you to learn their weakness,or you ill keep dying repeatedly or take forever to kill them. The key is to use all your abilities to defeat bosses. The camera and motion takes about a good 2 hours straight to get use to.The graphics are not up to par with 2012,but good enough. There is a learning curve guys, learn it and you'll enjoy,if you like hack n slash, plus timing of your moves. |
