Powerful Motor Provides Smooth, Accurate Cuts
The C10FSB Sliding Dual Compound Miter Saw features a powerful 12-amp motor that generates a no-load speed of up to 3,800 RPM for easily making crosscuts and miters in even the toughest workpieces. The electronic speed control ensures consistent RPM throughout the cut, so you get smooth, precise, controlled cuts each and every time.

Additionally, the C10FSB utilizes a Poly-V-Belt transmission rather than a traditional gear transmission. This soft start technology allows the saw to operate smoothly and quietly and reduces recoils during startup.

Compound Feature for Precise Miters and Bevels
Hitachi designed the C10FSB for versatile, easy use. The thumb-actuated positive miter stops allow for simple miter adjustments at the most common angles: 15.0, 22.5, 31.6, and 45.0 degrees to the right or left. The tool also features a 57-degree miter angle to the right and a 45-degree miter angle to the left for maximum flexibility. Additionally, a white-on-black miter scale provides superior visibility, allowing you to easily adjust the angle of the cutting blade for creating miters in crown molding and other trim pieces.

And with a bevel range of 45 degrees to the left and right, you can quickly and easily flip the saw blade while leaving your material in place. To save you even more time, bevel stops to the right and left are conveniently located at zero and 45 degrees.

The 10-inch TCT saw blade (included) makes easy work of trim and other woodwork, and the linear ball-bearing slide system and adjustable pivot fence allow for accurate cutting of large workpieces over 12 inches deep.

Chock-Full of User-Friendly Features
The C10FSB contains plenty of features to help you make the perfect cut the first time. To start, a splinter guard behind the fence increases safety and reduces tear-out for clean, finished cuts. For further refinement, a large table provides a stable guide and sturdy support, a built-in clamping system holds your workpiece in place, and an electric brake feature quickly halts the blade to prevent unintended cuts.

The C10FSB also includes a dust collector that minimizes accumulation of dust and particles in your both your workspace and the saw's interior components, keeping your jobsite clean and prolonging the life of the tool. An added bonus, easily accessible carbon brushes will help your saw perform for the long term.

Durably built, this tool is backed with an industry-leading five-year warranty. It is compatible with Hitachi's UU610 Universal Work Station.

This is an improved model of an already great tool! It was always the smoothest running and cutting saw before! Now it has easier to read markings on both bevel and table angle settings. Possitive angle notches in the table. Dual bevel and the belt drive is sooooo nice! The free blade is one of the best out there for cabinet or trim work. Buy it and you'll be hooked! We have used these Hitachi sliders since 1989 and we can't find anything close to it's quality and performance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, Recommended, December 6, 2005
This review is from: Hitachi C10FSB 12 Amp 10-Inch Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (Tools & Home Improvement)
I am a medium-level do-it-yourselfer, taking on more and more projects at a 200+ year old house that always needs attention. After replacing windows recently, I needed a saw to cut and complete the casing portion of the job. Rather than continue to beg and borrow from my neighbors, I opted to increase my tool collection. I pored over reviews here and elsewhere and finally decided to take the leap-- to a Bosch sliding compound saw here on Amazon. However, when I saw the hefty shipping/handling charges, and with a price increase moments before I clicked "Buy," I rethought the purchase and opted for the Hitachi from another online vendor with a much more reasonable shipping charge.

The saw came quickly and was in fine shape after travelling halfway across the country. I can see with less-than gentle handling the saw could punch a hole in the packaging, but mine survived the trip with no such effect. The saw is relatively compact, not too heavy, and the miters were right on... Read more

I am restoring my old home, and also spend quite a bit of time helping like-minded family & friends do the same. I have just received my Hitachi C10FSB and overall am very pleased with the purchase. Except for zero degree bevel needing an easy to-do adjustment, all other angles were spot on as delivered. The saw has a great blade, and overall fit and finish is excellent.

I was not impressed with was Hitachi's packaging. Upon reciept I could see about 1" of the back of the slider protruding from a small hole in side of the box. Upon opening I found the saw had shifted from its cardboard cutout restraints, allowing the slider to poke out of the box. The bevel was not locked or restrained and was free to flip-flop during shipping. Luckily everything checks out okay.

I cannot comment on how competitors package their saws, but as noted in other reviews it is clear that Hitachi does not package their saws for individual home delivery. This is the only thing... Read more
