4mm, 5mm, and 6mm hex set, Park Tool introduced the bicycle industry to the 3-way Hex Wrench Set more than 20 years ago. Our latest versions are stronger and more comfortable than ever. They fit perfectly in the palm of the hand and provide tremendous leverage. Hexes are made from Bondhus Protanium™ high torque industrial steel and are heattreated for long life. Tips of hexes are chamfered for a perfect fit, The AWS-1 now features color coded rings to speed finding the correct size. Blue- 4mm. Black- 5mm. Gray-6mm.

I own a lot of bike tools. Probably enough to open a shop. The one tool I use more than any other in my arsenal is the Park Tool AWS-1 Y-shaped Hex wrench, because it's comfortable, durable, and useful for 90% of all the bolts on a bike.

Pros:

- The wrench arms themselves are made of high quality steel that seems to resist wear and tear, regardless of how often I use them.
- The y-shaped design allows for a good amount of torque to be placed upon the bolt head
- The plastic "body" is comfortable in the hand, and has been very durable over the past year
- I have used the tool to work on bikes 2-3 times per week for over a year, and it doesn't show a single sign of "wearing out."
- It's relatively cheap compared to some other specialty tools, especially Park Tool brand

Con:

- The y-shaped design makes tightening bolts in recessed or tight areas somewhat difficult, especially seatpost clamp bolts on posts like Thomson (2 x... Read more

ALL bike life on this planet would cease to exist without the 4/5/6 Allen Y wrench. Since campi never made one, Park is THE BEST. If you do ANY wrenching on your bike you should buy this NOW or sooner. You will use it all the time. Park makes great quality tools.
