I immediately noticed quieter and smoother shifts with the new chain, though it could be just an indication of how cheap the OEM chain was. I wish I had replaced it sooner. Installation was a simple matter thanks to the power link, although I did need to shorten the chain by one link to size it to my bike. A basic chain tool was sufficient to remove the unneeded link. On the cassette, downshifts are straight up silent and up-shifts make one soft click and the chain is engaged. It also grabs onto the large chainring almost instantly. I'm running friction shifters, so feel is important in finding engagement points. Buttery smooth chain.I cannot attest to durability, since I've only had it on a few days. However, the oustanding performance gets it 5 stars from me. |
