Finally, found the Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7 and as soon as my feet were laced up, they could breath and relax and just exist during my workouts. The lateral stability is just the support I needed. I have a very narrow heel and going a size up always created slippage, no matter the socks or other attempts at a fix. Tried all sorts of other shoes, from Brooks to Asics and more, and was continually frustrated as though they were basically nice shoes, and provided the pronation support I needed, they didn't fit right, and I was dealing with tendon problems that were moving into knee problems. Couldn't believe it when I finally found these shoes. They fit so nicely--grab the heel so there's no slipping, yet give you room in the toe and plenty of options for lacing up. Agree with some other reviews that the shoe as a whole could use a bit more cushioning, but I'm running again and couldn't be happier to have finally found something that works. Thanks, Mizuno! |
