My record was 7-2. For over 5 years, I threw about 1000 to 1600 punches per day on the heavy bag (used punch counters). I personally went through many many many gloves and tried many other fighter's gloves. These were / are my favorite. They last a long time and protect your knuckles. I still incorporate a punching workout into my workout routines about once a week. I loved my first pair and wore them out. The second pair I got look identical to these and were used for about the last year of my everyday training and are still being used today after 2 and 1/2 years of once per week workouts. If you care to know, I went through several heavy bags and used many many bags. My favorite is a good quality water filled heavy bag 170 lb or greater. Combining these two things with good wrist wraps or gel undergloves should greatly reduce or eliminate knuckle pain if you are a heavy hitter. (I... I now have a heavy bag stand in my apartment and am picking the sweet science back up in a HUGE way. I used to have a cheap pair of Everlast gloves (in fact I still have them) and they were by no means good bag gloves. They were spandex around the wrist so you couldn't even really tighten them properly, so I'm not even sure they were meant for heavy bag work. No disrespect for Everlast since I'm sure they have awesome gloves. I just didn't invest and bought really cheap stuff. As soon as I had decided to get back in the sport, I knew I had to invest in a better pair of gloves. Something to treasure and cherish.
